Hello, and welcome to my website. If you’re reading this, you must be interested in how your information is collected, stored and processed. I collect data in 4 ways and have outlined the details for each: general contact form, website review form, newsletter sign-up and Google Analytics.
1. GENERAL CONTACT FORM
What information I collect & why
If you fill in the ‘general contact‘ form, I only ask for minimal information from you. It includes your name and your email address so I contact contact you if you have filled in the form. I also ask about your project so I understand what you’re looking to achieve.
If your message requires a response, I will respond to your message from my contact form by sending an email to the email address you have provided.
What happens to the information
When you click ‘send message’ on the form, the information is stored on my website under ‘Form Results’ and an auto-email is sent to hello@blackandwhite.marketing with your name, email address and the message you have written.
Your information is never shared with any third parties.
My website software is very secure, as WordPress is one of the most secure platforms for websites. The information is stored for a maximum of 12 months on WordPress and email and then is deleted permanently after this time period.
2. WEBSITE REVIEW FORM
What information I collect & why
If you fill in the ‘book your review‘ form, again I only ask for minimal information from you. It includes your name, your email address, your website URL and a quick introduction to what your business does. I then follow this up with an auto-email through ConvertKit so you are not waiting on a response. This follow up email asks you to provide some more information, and links back to my website so you can fill in the questionnaire. By answering the questions on the questionnaire, it allows me to keep all of the information for your website review together. This second form will ask for information about your business goals, problems with your current website etc. to allow me to review your website with as much information as possible. Towards the end of the form, there is a payment form powered by Stripe. This will ask for your credit card information and address (more information about Stripe below).
What happens to the information
When you click ‘book my review’ on the form, the information is stored on my website under ‘Form Results’ and an auto-email is sent to hello@blackandwhite.marketing with your name, email address, website URL and a quick description of your business. ConvertKit will hold your name and email address so I am able to respond with the appropriate follow up questions. This is an auto email too. The second form features a payment form powered by Stripe. No credit card or bank information is stored by me or this website. Stripe securely holds the data that is collected (such as payment method, bank account, date of purchase etc.) If you’d like to read more about Stripe and their Privacy Policy and how they store and use information, please visit Stripe’s Privacy Policy page here.
Your information and answers to the questions are never shared with any third parties. I keep it entirely confidential.

3. NEWSLETTER SIGN-UP
What information I collect & why
On my website, there is a pop-up form and a static form on each blog post. This form is powered by ConvertKit and asks you if you’d like to download my free guide: “10 ways to instantly improve your copy”. This form collects your name and email address. This means I can send you the pdf to your email inbox and send follow up emails on my newsletter. By completing the form, you are subscribing to my newsletter and have ticked the box to say you agree to this. You can unsubscribe at any time.
What happens to the information
The information (your name and email address) is stored in my ConvertKit account. This allows me to send auto generated follow up emails.
Your name and address are never shared with any third parties.
4. GOOGLE ANALYTICS
What information I collect & why
By using my website, the ‘Google Analytics Pixel’ will track usage, behaviour, pages visited etc. However, this is general information rather than personal data – it does not store any personal information which is identifiable to you. My analytics account will show me general usage, not an individual’s behaviour.
What happens to the information
The information is stored on my Google Analytics account.
YOUR RIGHTS TO YOUR INFORMATION
You can at any time, email hello@blackandwhite.marketing to: request an outline of what information I have on you; to request the information is deleted; or request that your data is no longer processed by me or ConvertKit.
